UET Lahore will host ARCASIA 2010

UET-School of Architecture to host an event ARC-ASIA . 20 Countries , 100 delegates , 700 people from round the globe. There would be meetings, conferences, workshops and colors all around. We wish best of luck to all the Architects involved in this event.

In an exclusive interview to ARCHI TIMES Architect Kalim A. Siddiqui National Convener of ACA-14, has informed that ARCASIA event will be held in Pakistan in 2010.

We are very much in the middest of the preparation of holding the ACA-14 event of 2010 in Lahore. I am very much obliged to the National council IAP for having appointed me as the National Convener of ACA-14, at Lahore. The event goes back to September 2008 wherein a well prepared presentation and documents prepared as per required format of ARCASIA, was presented to ARCASIA during the Council Meeting held at Busan, Korea in September 2008. Ar. Kalim Siddiqui said.

This presentation earned us the approval of the Council for holding ACA-14 event in Lahore.

He further said that as far as preparation and plan of holding ACA-14 event in Lahore is concerned I must confess that the Grand Convention that was held recently in the month of June provided us with the opportunity to draw lessons and experiences and to form an experienced team consisting of professionals, educational institutes, faculty members and students from Karachi to Lahore.

We are now all set to make another presentation at the Arcasia Council Meeting to be held in the third week of August this year in Mangolia in which we shall present full details of our program. The programe will consists of ARCASIA Council Meeting & ACA-14, in which the theme is on Green Architecture, the same theme that we had for the Grand Convention. These events will also consist of a Student Jamboree programe where students from all ARCASIA member countries will participate. ARCASIA consist of the following seventeen countries. Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Korea, Pakistan, Mongolia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hongkong, Macau, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, China and Thailand.
