The society has s...uccessfully hosted 19 Annual All Pakistan Debating Championships with active participation of all prestigious institutes of Pakistan. The UET Debating Society cordially invites your institution to the 20th Annual All Pakistan Debating Championship to be held from February 25th to 28th.
FORMAT AND RULES:
The 20th Annual Debating Championship will be the first of its kind, consisting of both declamation (English, Urdu, and Punjabi) and Parliamentary debates (English, Urdu). The Annual Bilingual Declamation and Punjabi Takra of the 20th All Pakistan Debating Championship will be held from February, the 25th to 28th. You are requested to send one speaker per language in cross categories of the Bilingual Declamation (English serious, Urdu humorous and vice versa) and two speakers for the Punjabi Takra, one speaking for the topic and the other against the topic. Total time for Declamation is 4-6 minutes for all rounds
As per tradition, Parliamentary debates will follow the World Universities Style of debates, which will consist of four teams of two persons each. The competition will consist of 5 preliminary rounds (2 closed) for both English and Urdu followed by the knockout stages consisting of the semi-finals and the grand finale.
